If a letter is not available a WAIVER OF CONFIDENTIALITY FORM (Spanish form) will need to be completed before Child Nutrition Services can release your child’s meal eligibility status. Please save this letter as proof of benefits for other school programs. Letters are also available on the Skyward Family Access account under the Food Service tab. A response will be sent to the parents/guardian by email. Please see menu section below for specific meal information at your child’s school.Ĭhild Nutrition Services will review applications on a timely basis, however, it may take 7-10 days for an application to be reviewed. Please know that if your child is bringing lunch from home and ordering milk they will be charged $.50. Students who take milk only at meals will be charged $0.50 per carton. Milk is included in the price of a breakfast and lunch meal. You may also receive reduced rates for fee based activities. Our schools receive funding to support students based on the number of families that qualify for free or reduced meals. It is REALLY IMPORTANT that you complete the meal benefit application if your family has been approved in the past or if you feel your family may qualify for these benefits. IF YOU RECEIVE A LETTER BY EMAIL THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN APPROVED TO RECEIVE FREE MEALS FOR SCHOOL YEAR ’22-’23 YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION. EACH FAMILY ENROLLED IN THE DISTRICT WILL BE MAILED AN APPLICATION PACKET LATE JULY/EARLY AUGUST. PLEASE BE SURE TO FILL OUT A MEAL BENEFIT APPLICATION UNDER THE ONLINE & PRINT APPLICATIONS TAB. The USDA made it possible for school nutrition programs to serve all students free breakfast and lunch through “waivers” during the pandemic.Ĭongress did not extend these waivers for the upcoming school year, so we will go back to regularly priced lunches.
